Attack the Base | The Conductress

A being of melodies, bringing destruction and chaos in her wake as she strives to amplify her symphony for all to hear and be entranced by. The Conductress is the boss/antagonist I designed for my Attack the Base art test that I participated in during May of this year. This entity looks only to enthral any sentient being, resonating with her victims' minds as the music is heard. She is powered by the acknowledgement of her melodies; the more people hear her, the more hypnotised they are. The Conductress is like a siren, her call being almost irresistible to all but those who know magics to counter it, or are fellow magical entities which are much harder to influence.

A lot of inspiration I took from flowing shapes I had seen in other boss designs, as well as how NieR: Automata uses non-human creations to create a humanoid form, specifically Simone. I also love ornate designs like Orphan from FFXIII and Sophia from FFXIV.
In the end, I created a design I'm really proud of and hope you all like it too!
